After three wins in a row, then two ties in a row, the Gypsies finally lost their second game. Hoping to make short work of the Suck City Mayors, the Gypsies were instead on the receiving end of the pointy sticks.
Stu Gauntlet's wrist was seriously injured, but the team Doc again proved worth every penny and got him back in the game. His persistence earned him the MVP. The experience has given him a new awareness of everything going on around him. He returned a more intense player.
St. Stone and Stable each pulled down a casuality, but no Gypsy could score in the first half. In fact, five of them ended up knocked out by the sucky mayors. Even the weaker thralls were in the game and the Vamps rarely looked like they needed a drink. The Jester taunted the Mayors and ended up with a couple fingers in his eye. He'll be sitting the next match out.
Mace Jawshatter was able to get a TD late in the second half, but it was too little, much too late. The Gypsies would walk out with a 3/2/2 record. The wins still dominate... but for how long?
The best I've ever seen a vamp team play. Thanks Grunson. We'll be back with more holy water next time...”
