Weird game. My av 9 was more like AV 6. So many cas... And KOs too. At the end of the game, down to 3 orcs, I try a desperation -2d blitz to deny my opponent the victory (I could have long-bombed upfield the previous turn for a tie but the catch with rr failed).

Here's how it went:

-------
Select an action for Marrag Evil-Eye
Blitz selected.
DODGE FINAL RESULT: Marrag Evil-Eye
TARGET: 3 --- ROLL: 6 + 0 = 6
Marrag Evil-Eye slips past his opponent(s) unhindered.

2 db Block re-rolled.
Team re-roll used.

Waiting for opponent to choose a block die.

<Mezir> DIE
PUSHBACK/POW
Cracked Rear View is knocked over.
<Mezir> now do me a favour
<Mezir> and FAIL the pick-up
Player pushed to (8, 2)
(5, 6) + 0, (3, 1) + 0, 0: Cracked Rear View has been stunned.
-------

Meanwhile, in #fumbbl...

-------
[05:49] <lostineternity> that is just gross mez
[05:49] <lostineternity> justice :P
[05:49] <lostineternity> no it'll bounce to his hob
[05:49] <lostineternity> who'll catch it
-------

Aaaaand back to what happened in the game just after that prophetic statement...

-------
Ball moved to ( 7, 1 )
GET BALL FINAL RESULT: No Fences
TARGET: 5 --- ROLL: 5 + 0 = 5
<Mezir> oh ffs
<Mezir> FFS
<Mezir> it's not true
<Mezir> it just can't be true
<Mezir> not happening not happeniiiiing
<Mezir> lalalalalalalalalalalalala
Move ended for Marrag Evil-Eye
[Game Saved]

Back to the chat again...

My opponent then wrapped up this immensely weird game by knocking himself down on the 2d blitz where he needed a pushback to score.

One of the strangest games I've ever played. Man.

And I haven't even talked about the first half, which had some weird stuff going down as well. Troll caught the bad kick (caught it, I didn't just give it to him or anything, he CAUGHT it) then after getting surrounded hands it off to a Thrower who's in a TZ, who throws a short pass from that TZ to a waiting lineorc, who was blitzed free by another lineorc who had to dodge to get there. The ball is caught, one GFI and touchdown Sultans!

Next kick Blitz! (With all of 9 players). Manage to get the ball and laboriously retreat into my half with it (my players were still falling like flies, couldn't move forward) and thus I could start the second half 1 - 0 up with 6 players available. Managed to stall my opponent's TD a bit, but what can six orcs do?

And then, of course, the event portrayed at the start of this match report.

The Sultans of Swine are sure off to a... uh... weird start;
