“This was a rough, hard match. My Dwarves ambled up the field to score in turn 6 of the first half, and luck stayed pretty even for both - I threw less blocks so failed less, Norse threw more blocks, more success, more skulls, so kinda even I guess.

2nd Half the kickoff definitely went my way though - a blitz allowed me to crowd the ball, and though 1 dice blocks nailed my ball carrier, the Norse were tied up and couldn't get far. Three times they scooped the ball up (after dodging) in tackle Zones, and all three times went for an extra dodge and failed - if just one of those had come off the game may well have been tied, and again when an attempted punt to get the ball out of range for my slow dwarves fumbbled.

2-0 flatters me some - a Longbeard picked up the loose ball in turn 15, after a hard fought 2nd half, and trundled it home to score in turn 16.

Both sides had good and bad luck, really tough game, and I don't think anyone made any real glaring mistakes - I never really got chance to cage the ball as my Dwarves were tied up for most of the game, and I didn't have any speed players left after the Runner was KO'd. AV9 faired no better than AV7, and I was outnumbered for all of the 2nd half.

Still, they came through, another win, albeit a fortunate one, when a draw would have been fairer.

Rematch anytime MDL1972 - you're a good coach, and whatever you are putting in the Norses' drinks to toughen them up - it works!
