“This was an incredible game. The Vampires simply caved in to my blocks, the KO and injured zones filling and spilling over, and yet, even with 8 turns and vs hardly any Vamps left, I couldn't score in the first half. That jumping Vampire was a pest, and I totally screwed up my receiver, relying on a BOB to catch the ball - 50% chance (pass was good) but he missed it.
2nd half, things got even dafter. With only 5 players in their line up, the Vamps were soon reduced to 2, vs my 11.
And they scored.
yep, they scored, and made me feel like a compleet idiot. A fair bit of luck was involved, but he who dares, wins.
Anyway, kickoff, my thrower starts to earn his pay, thinned Vamp numbers once more and managed to peg it back 1-1.
The Vamps in turn 5 took the kickoff, but their leaping pest fell on a blade of grass and injured his eye somehow (I wonder how that spike got there?), the passer Vamp fellow tripped when GFI, and my 2x GFI and pass saw that the ball was away from the Vamps, to run in the 2nd in Turn 16, an undeserved win when a draw would have been the fair result against a gallant Vampire side who never gave in when they caved in.
Big shame about the -1 FFfor the Vamps, and I hope, I really do, that they stuff someone in their next game as Nature Warden played better than me, but his AV let him down (big style, like hardly any players on the field starting from turn 1 with Badly hurts, and KOs for most of the game).
Note to self: Don't play skilled opponents when you are tired you muppet - you will be made to look like a clown.
If the Vamps incredible TD had proved to be a winner, I'd have retired the team, and myself, in shame.
“It was definately a close one... and as for the td all it took was a 4+, 3+ dodge and an exertion, I was lucky he didn't knock me down... a few points in the game were either of us rolling just a little better would have turned the whole thing on it's head! My thoughts so far are that Vampires are a really sweet team I just need more of them...”

2 vs 11 and they score. Simply amazing!”
