“Phew! What a game! Both teams only ever had nine players at the most on the field at any time. (He actually started with 10, but I quickly fixed that with some KOs.) Despite my careful positioning, he had too many players on my half and was eaasily able to score. You can't mark 9 elves with 7 Norsemen, especially when your damned minotaur fails more than half of his wild animal rolls (this applies even when there was someone next to him to help him calm down!).
He scored a well thought out touchdown in the first half as a result. In the second, I created a poor cage and was forced to drop the ball by the sidelines. The ball scattered out of bounds, and the crowd threw it directly in the path of Ragnar, my blitzer who was acting like a reciever. They must have wanted him to score, because he was six squares away and only had to dodge once, pick up the ball, and run it in. Well, he dodged, re-roll used, picked it up, and ran it in for the team's lone score. It was an undeserved touchdown, but a touchdown nonetheless.
With just a few turns to go, he tried to re-take the lead, but with a few bad rolls causing turnovers on the start of his fifth, sixth, and seventh turns, I popped the ball free and prevented a touchdown to preserve the tie. Once again, very lucky.
It was a good game for both teams. They both got new skills and a good amount of money. There were no niggling injuries or deaths caused, and my two players who had to miss this match are now okay to play again. Thanks for the game poodle-man, and I'll gladly play you again sometime. See ya 'round!”
