“What a start to their first season in the conferences. Manny pundits were questioning the decision to except a wild card promotion with a team that did not have much swl experience. Oh how they were wrong.
The game against the Triumph was played at breakneck speed with niether team ever looking to comfortable in defence. The DDs jumped to an early 2-0 lead courtesy of error from the opppostion offence. Hangers took it upon himself to remove the danger men from the Talaenor line up before the caused to much damage. The removal of Jolledan Willinim just before half time was a telling blow for the men of wood. A couple of traded TDs just before half time left the Woodies witha nice 3-1 lead. However disaster struck just after half time with the Hangers tearing the ligaments in his ankle after a big hit from Alainell Rollandor. His departure from the field seemed to sap the energy from the WDD's and Talaenor tied things up at 3 all.
The final few turns were pulsating. Butch took it upon him self to fire the boys up with a few big hits. It worked as team scored which guarenteed that would at least not lose the match. The High Elfs equalised quickly leaving 2 turns to find the winner....
This topsy turvy game still held one more surprise. A mistake in back play by Rus love appeared to remove the chance at victory with the Triumph grabbing the ball and holding it in a solid position. But the boys dug deep a stunning block go the ball free and Rus Love made up for his previous indecresion to duck in a throw a mamoth path into the waiting arms of the Golden Child. 5-4 to the Double Double. What a game!

1Jolledan Willinim: He gets 1 point even though he was on the field for less than half the game. I have no doubt if he had been on the field longer the end result would have been very different.
