“This match was worthy of its status as a semi-final, with the drawn result after overtime meaning the winner was calulated by the casualty count. It had not looked like the Cult of the Snake would triumph early in proceedings, as a string of terrible dice rolls had their luck at 7% after their first turn, with the ball lying loose in their backfield. Their luck slowly changed, although the big guys Anaconda and Constrictor all too often failed their Bone Head rolls.
The Snake team went into the match with the strategy of sacrificing their skinks and rookie Amazons on the line of scrimmage, and hoping that the Dragon Warrior mummies would not cause too much damage as they pounded the weaker skeletons and zombies. This tactic paid off in spades, as Green Tree Snake in particular kept the mummies busy in the middle of the pitch as the ball was run around the flanks.
The Cult had the luck of receiving the kickoff in overtime, and although their Amazonian captain Copperhead had a chance to score the winning TD late in the second half, she tripped as she crossed the line. The Dragon Warriors seemed to make a decision that they couldn't win by scoring, and instead concentrated on blocking in hopes of evening the casualty count, but the Amazons' dodging skills kept the undead at bay.”
