“What an incredible match! These ogres meant business and played quite the game. Right from the start things were looking grim as the ogres never failed any BH rolls and pounded my team into the ground. Many a goblin was thrown, and none of them ever failed to land. Down 0-1 after second turn, the dwarves were hugely dismayed.
However we managed to tie eventually and had a great chance to win the game 2-1 without Overtime. Except that someone forgot that it was in fact turn 7, not turn 6, and ran out of movement before the endzone. Thus, it went to Overtime 1-1.
The Ogres got Perfect Defense and setup a more grim defense, but the dwarves gambled, broke through the right side and setup a defensive perimeter around the ball, knocked out the last remaining goblin and scampered up the field to make it 2-1. However, the goblin came out and was likely to score and make it 2-2 except the crowd had had enough, and there was a pitch invasion. Badly hurting an ogre, seriously injuring an ogre, and knocking out 2 more ogres as well as stunning the only 2 remaining ogres on the field. Leaving the Goblin alone in the backfield holding the ball and wondering what to make of the situation.
The dwarves quickly swarmed the goblin, got the ball and made it 3-1.
Thanks for the match Voodoo! You're a great coach who did a lot with those ogres. I'll forever remember this match, as it was truly intense and close until that pitch invasion. Keep at it with those ogres! :) ”
