1st half:

'flings stole all the chaos' rerolls. Managed to mark the ballcarrier in the backfield and set up the 1-die blitz with Pinbod, but he failed the dodge. Chaos caged in scoring range in such a way that to get a 2-die opp choice blitz someone would have to dodge many, many times. Decided to simply set up a screen in front of the beastmen and hope for the miracle roll on the blitz...double skulls(!!!) on an unassisted blitz (had the target been marked by one of the other free beastmen 1st it would have been a 3-die block). End of drive, end of half - score 0-0.

2nd half:

We steal both rerolls again, but the ko result gave the Chaos one to work with.

'flings received and caged behind the lumbering treemen until the SF/break tackler rooted. Tried to sneak back to the middle of the pitch looking for a scoring chance but was denied when my 'fling in scoring range was stunned on a double skull with an Ogre. Worked back to the left sideline and moved forward from a full cage to a 2-'fling sideline cage. Chaos broke the back of the cage to mark the ballcarrier and loaded the front with several beastmen. Being 'flings, Bopan decided to try the solo blitz to make his own scoring opportunity and hope for the best - double knockdown (opp choice), gfi successful, and no reroll needed. 1-0.

'flings kicker (along with 3 others) decided to sit out the last 2 turns in the KO box. Kickoff result = bad kick. Opponent gave the ball to his Ogre, never got the chance to move him on turn 7, and he boneheaded on turn 8 after the only foul of the match.

Thoughts:

Opponent had a beastman with block skill. Had he given him an assist and a running start every turn (3-die blocks), I doubt I would have finished the game with any 'flings on the pitch. Instead the Ogre was the primary blitzer - not a huge deal since there was only access to 1 reroll anyways and 'fling casualties are an easy way to skill a big guy - but he failed more bonehead rolls than 1 in 6 and often left my cage intact.

As with most of the matches these 'flings play, a few lucky roll played a big roll in the win.
