Avatars Of Slaanesh the clear favourites but Grimnir's Slayers, clearly the underdogs, were determined not to sell the spot cheap.
Early in the match the dwarfs beadrs were drenched in blood: chaos poluted blood! But it woulnd't last long. The return fire (literally) saw the Deathroller's boiler being brought up to unacceptable temperatures by the Avatar's slimy wizard. Also, Grim IronJaw got one, well, in the jaw and was knocked out of the game for good with serious neck problems!
But the mighty Slayers fought back and continued to pounce the opposition into the ground. Shortly after, no pun intended, Ulli Longlegs saw an opening for Ulfgard Swiftfeet, who was in a position to score, but failed miserably!!! His pass came up short, huh, I mean he missed the pass by an inch!
The Avatars took advantage of the situation and Haunter of Solitude grabed the ball and ran for his life leaving the stout stunties behind for the 1st TD of the match and the end of the 1st half.
The second half saw some more carnage once again. Both teams beat each other up considerably with the noble Slayers taking the upper hand once again. The cowardly Haunter of Solitude got the ball yet again and ran all the way back to his endzone keeping the ball away from the dwarfs.
The dwarfs finally threatned his position, after having broken through the other Avatars and he desperatly thought a teammate to throw the ball to. He found Polluter of Emotions who ran a few yards before being pounded to the ground by Olaf Runekenner. Ulfgard Swiftfeet ran towards the football in order to pass it to Tharin Strongaxe, who was the only dwarf in a position to score the equalizer, but he triped on his bootlaces and fell beard first into the astrogranite.
It was up to Olaf Runekeener to make the daring play, but his butterfingers cut the whole deal short and the game was over.
The day belonged to the Avatars of Slaanesh, but Grimnir's Slayers had left a sizeable impression on everyone (especially Defiler of Bodies) as a team to be reckoned with!”
