First block of the game, badly hurt - Carmiran was to further injure 2 more players, and the ELves as a whole completely batter me into the floor, whereas I was lucky to score 1 Badly Hurt and a couple of KOs - the KOs were lucky though because the players seemed to sit most of the game in the box :S
Other than that, luck was fairly even for both teams. They never failed a dodge, even some nutty "tackle Zone, what tackle zone?" ones, and my critical luck - GFI when needed, a dodge to score the last TD, and blocks in general (no double skulls for me all game which is weird, at least that I can remember) though at best they caused a stun, were enough thanks to hopeful positioning that saw at least 2 TDs go almost the whole length of the field.
5-0 sounds like a thrashing, but it really all boiled down to the Elves lack of block - it ended so many of their turns I lost count, but even then they caused a cas, and I was lucky to escape with no serious injuries, albeit another player down.
This teams' hopeless casualty record sinks to new depths.
I was already -5 in 7 games before this, now I'm -8 in 8, which is bordering on the ridiculous seeing as I've won 7, drawn 1 game, lost none with this team.
Weird.
Anyway, Aziraphale is a great sport, no whining, no moaning, and I'm sure the Elves will get their lucky break once they get more block skill. If they'd had more block, I'd have been absolutely murdered, instead I'm flattered by a 5-0 scoreline!
edit: As usual - just like last game, another player ages with a niggle. I can't afford to retire him like the last though - this team doesn't have more than 8 or 9 players on the field at the end of a game anyway, never mind removing them before the start of a game *sigh*”
