“There were a number of factors against me in this game.

1) I get diceraped in tournaments, be it for a half, several key turns, or the full game. When nothing goes right for me, my opponent will generally fail at nothing. In this game the Necro did not fail (skulls) a single block. The odd GFI failed, and a dodge I think, but that was it. I couldn't pick the ball up and as a result pretty much left myself open to his speed. According to the luck score I was quite a bit luckier. Uh huh :)

2) When my Dwarves can't inflict a single injury (I think that one was from a foul when I had the ref) and get KOs all game, and that with a team full of mighty blows and guards, well, it was like walking through quicksand. The KO box got a bit busy for the Necro, but that was it.

3) 2 niggles at the start of the game used the apo but there I did get some luck, suffering no injuries either.

4) It's late (01.00 now) and I wasn't in much of a mood to play anyway, so just wanted it over with. I didn't give any thought to tactics - no point when I can't qualify anyway, I just rolled a few dice and picked my players up a lot.

5) This team is retired after this tournament anyway. When Dwarves can't block they don't have a lot of other options. This game was like having all my teeth pulled out one by one. Take a look at the luck score - that makes me smile :) Aside from about 4 turns, I spent the rest of the game picking players up.

Mossbeard - you took your luck well, didn't have a challenge at all from me (my game plan was thin the numbers and cage the ball. It failed on turn 1, and that was it. for the rest of the game with subsequent failures).
