“(ooc) Apologies to OB for being a bit flustered post game. Its those damn dwarves. Which is a bother because I typically really enjoy playing OB.
(ic) A brilliant start to the first half with a couple of early cas all went amiss as the vanguard's first half drive neared its end.
It was at this point that Twisted Skeins managed to get into the action and obediantly followed coach's orders to make a sprint up the sideline. He shouldn't have paid the coach any heed! What's usually a golden rule had been forgotten as we seriously underestimated, once again, the oppositions' tendency for single-minded violence. It is blood bowl, after all. Larry Languid seized his opportunity for the sideline push and Twisted Skeins was shortly reading his retirement papers. We'll have to bring back assistant coach Kazi to give the lads some lessons on the hard realities of blood bowl courtesy of a few exclamation marks from Stompa.
That sideline push burst the dam. The dwarves, who'd been quiet till then laid into the elves with 3 cas and 5 or 6 ko over the next 3-4 turns and it looked like the advantage gained would be squandered as the dwarves began outnumbering the elves in a long second half drive. The team got a little suicidal at that stage and flung themselves at any opportunity to seal the win. Even the apothecary frantically revived a badly hurt Romantika early in the half. Foolish, but it proved to be just enough to turn the tide for the win. Well coached by OB to push the lads so hard for so long.

One cas and a stream of knockouts almost got them back into the game.
#2 votes: Larry Languid
That dodge and the crowdpush that ensued.
#1 vote: Randy Rodger
Added to the stream of knockouts that almost got the dwarves home.”
