Not that the game started that way tho, as the very first block from WeWillRockYou Badly hurt my star BoB UgoLef. Feeling brave, and not wanting to go 16 turns without both of my twin towers (UgoLef and UgoRite), we used our Apoc on the BH. Risky, but then again, Nuffle seems to like risk.
From then on the game developed nicely for WWRY as they marched the ball steadily downfield, scoring in turn 7, and leaving us 2 turns to half time. Spurred on by our first CAS of the day (SI, Apoced), we bravely attacked, but were denied with the last roll of the dice - snake eyes on a GFI (w RR!), to leave it 1-0 at the half.
The second half is one that will live in glory in the annals of the Canorcks! Death, mayhem, broken bones and More Death rained from above as every roll shattered the puny armour of our opponents, leaving them helpless and quaking in our wake. Blood, blood, blood! the crowd chanted as each successive hit seemed to heap more suffering on WWRY. And somewhere amongst the bloodlust we managed to score twice, in turns 5 and 8, making it 2-1 and leaving WWRY - now down to 7 players - the chance of scoring with a gobbo throw in the last turn to draw it.
However, Nuffle looked unkindly upon the blighted WWRY once more, granting a BLITZ to the Canorcks, who ran downfield, BHed the potential gobbo flyer, and danced upon the corpses littering the field.
And the coach went WOOT!
(PS. thanks to REDSpecial for suffering quietly one of the most crappy displays of luck I've ever seen - and I've seen some bad ones...)”
