The Bite kicked off to start with. They failed at every block they had and ended almost every turn in a turnover. But they held on to eventually prevent the flings from scoring in a series of death-defying, dangerous, and downright stupid defensive plays. In the end, after being forced to block a thrall, the ballcarrier failed a dodge with the re-roll in the dying moments of the first half. Thus, the score at half time was nil-nil.

However, it came at a price, for Samathon took down a fling, but was smashed in the neck at the same time. He went down and he would never have the same agility again. He would also have to miss the next match. The apothecary wasn't able to help as he had already prevented a niggling injury from happening on the pitch earlier in the match. Staina also went down before the half-time wistle blew, making him miss the next macth too due to a groin strain.

In the second half, the Bite formed a cage around Domantrius, the team's only Vampire. After being held up for a few turns by the mere force of bodies, and after a key halfling who was blocking the way was knocked out, Domantrius was able to escape the death trap with two other thralls, only to be pushed into the crowd. The fans however didn't tear him up as they have come to respect him. In the past, although the Bite's fans have been deadly, they let Domantrius go this time. (It didn't matter to them anyway. More fans were attracted to the team after the match.)

The fans had mercy on the Bite today, as they threw the ball right next to the already broken up cage. After a skirmish that lasted three turns, the Bite managed to scatter the tackle zones from the ball and Jassive, who used his block skill to blitz and then picked up the ball in the same turn, only had to dodge once to score that touchdown in the final turn of the game for the Bite. He did, and the score was 1 - 0.

But on the very last turn, a block by Happy Tree who was trying to clear the way for a Throw team-mate touchdown, knocked both players down, but whereas he was uninjured, Moudront was killed! The flings came out for blood today, and they got it.

However, the win, the prize money, and the increase in fan factor, and a new doubles skill sort of made up for the casualties. The doubles skill went to Samathon however, whose Blood Bowl career would have been shortened had he not rolled the doubles. He will now make great linefodder as he picked up the Guard skill. The team is still saving up for the second vampire before their fifth match and the first championship round of the Blitz Invitational, which they earned 14 points towards.

Coach Oblitzamanger enjoyed the match thouroughly and would like to state here that he would gladly play coach kwek again if he ever gets the chance. They exchanged kind words after the game and there are no hard feelings between them both, eventhough they both fouled once or twice and a player died in the match, and the apothecary was used on a foul.”
