Despite the scoreline and luck score, this game was all about being badly hurt.

The dark elves were far far superior in terms of skulls, and are probably the best team in terms of development that I've played in the BB7s.

The only way I was going to get anything from the game was with luck, pure and simple. With the Dark Elves collecting POWs for a laugh in the first few turns, only the driving rain turning the ball into soap stopped them making reasonable progress. Still, they scored in turn 5, and I was lucky not to suffer anything worse than a knockdown, whilst I badly hurt the Witch Elf, probably by far the best player I have seen in this competition.

That was probably a key moment, as it turned the game. After that, the Elves, whilst they scored knockdowns, could do no worse than stun until turn 16, which is a rare change for this team - normally they get Ko'd and sit the entire game out, that's assuming any of them turn up at all. It makes me rather cynical about entering competitions with my 'luck' in tournaments, so I chatter like an old woman about dice and so on.

I think my opponent got miffed somewhat thinking I was whining about the dice - not so. I simply comment - he had his luck, I had mine. As it turns out, my leader reroll, and 2 kickoff rerolls helped me to pull off several key moves, whereas the Darkies were relying purely on not failing with the dice, no rerolls.

Scoreline flatters me somewhat, and I can only smile ruefully at getting a big wad of cash again, when I know I'll have to ditch it all to keep my tr down to avoid the disastrous handicaps I have suffered from in this tournament. It's like, there is bad luck, and there is shite luck, and then there is my tournament luck. Well today, that final level of luck took a break and allowed me a rare win over a quality Elven side.

Shame it couldn't rescue what's left of my Dwarves in another tournament after 3 ass rapings have left me waiting for the end of the tourney so I can retire what's left of the team, but I guess what comes around goes around. Then stops, ponders, and kicks you in the ass before going on it's merry way :)

Uh. There I go again with one of my long winded rambles...

Thanks for the game Craftnburn - with a team like that it surely won't be long before you give some team a right mauling.
