#9 Dzakrog Flamehammer – Dead (RIP)
As Csonti said, the luck means nothing as we had to play the game over a number of sessions, sometimes only 1 turn at a time!
------------
Overall, a fun game. I was certainly unlucky to have both my players with a niggle roll a 1 where my opponent made all 4 of his niggle rolls.

This set me right back as I apothed the Troll into the game.

A turn 1 foul by my opponent killed one of my CDs and I changed my game plan to vengence hehehe. I had had a bad run of luck in the last few games so to have the snake-eyes for niggles and then one of my players killed on turn 1 just pissed me off no end.

So the first half was spent hunting down his players for PO attacks and fouls.

I could have most likely secured a draw in this game in the first half when the ball was on the ground around turn 6 and we both had a lot of players around it, but I decided to send a Hobbo onto the ball. He failed to pick up the ball and it scattered out and my opponent got the ball and scored to leave me two TDs down at the end of the first half.

If I had played safe, it would have been very hard for my opponent to score, but I wanted to try and score so took the risky play.

In the second half, I advanced slowly at first as my opponent had a lot of good players still on the pitch, and finally when I had an opening scored with about 3 turns left in the game.

Down 1 TD with 3 turns left to go, I pressed hard in defence which of course would create a scoring opportunity if I failed. A failed GFI with a reroll gave my opponent the opening he needed.

All in all, I think I got the raw deal when it came to luck (though I had some nice injury rolls), but I lost the game mainly due to my opponent playing well to exploit my misfortune, and also my risky play in the first half which resulted in a second TD for him. Being down one CD whereas my opponent had his full roster also played a part.

Oh, and turn 8 PO 3 dice attack on his best player, I don't normally do that, but heck, he killed one of my CDs in the first turn and I was out for blood LOL.

Still a fun game in all and back to 20 FF though cashflow is going to be a huge problem if I lose more players.

#11 Iphalax Crazy – Smashed Knee (NI)
Note: luck rating means nothing since we played the game in 3 parts

All started very good for the Witches, the Hellbringers suffered 2 niggles, including the mighty troll. He was apod, so the Hellbringers got a fair chance to win but payed a high price for this. More on that later...

This bad start upset the chaos dwarf fans and they have beaten the ref almost to death to get some joy. And it was then when the real fun begun. Fearing that they will be fouled to death, the Witches acted preemtively and fouled a CD before the Hellbringers can even say "Hello!". Unfortunately the foul commited by a dirty player resulted in Dzakrog Flamehammer's death. And from this point the Hellbringers played according to their name. They used every opportunity to injure the Witches. What is more, for the blatant action the ref sent off the fouler specialist of the dark elves, so they have lost the chance to seriously retaliate. (Sidenote: Malthor stated that he didn't want a foul war because he used his apo for the troll. Unfortunately for both of us, he hadn't informed me about this right after the start. :o)

So the game style was set for the first half: the witches tried to avoid any contact with the CD's while they tried to score. After some manouvering, the Witches got a TD but the Hellbringers still had enough time to try an equalizer. But the cage they setup wasn't strong enough. Dyrst Merciless bravely blitzed the ball carrier and after some bloody and funny fight eventually the Witches were able to score 2nd time. Meanwhile they miraculously managed to avoid anihilation. Most of the Hellbringers' fouls resulted in KO's, after the first half, only 1 or 2 SI's were on the casualty list.

The 2nd half was much bloodier. Within a few turns the Hellbringers get rid of most of the elves. So they had a very hard time to stop or even slow the Hellbringers TD. However a few times they managed to harras the ball carrier and once they even knocked him down. Again close quarter fighting errupted around the ball, and this time it was a BC who get into touch with the ball and he sprinted to the end zone right away.

The Hellbringers had 3 more turns to try to equalize vs 8 DE's. But the Witches fighted bravely and didn't allow the ugly BC's to get into position to attack the ball carrier player. Seeing that all is over, the Hellbringers tried to kill Dyrst Merciless with a PO/MB CD but the troll who wanted to help in the block failed a GFI and almost niggled himself (but regenerated...) in the process. On the other hand this let the Witches a wonderfull opportunity to score and they did just that.

All in all a great game with many injuries (10+the troll's fumble) and even more snake-eyes. Malthor was good at double skulls and me in double 1's ;o)

Now the Witches try to find an appropriate opponent to regenerate the team after this massacre.
