“Well the opposing coach turned out to not be a very good sport. He wasn't horrible, but...
The first quarter was very close. Lots of fighting at the line, and he eventually broke through to the open field. He ran up to the goal line and stopped, delaying the score. An acceptable strategy. Not one that I enjoy, but I have no complaints. Especially since I am going to win the war in the trenches on the field. When he figures that out, he runs it in.
At the beginning of the second half, he got a blitz, then three quick KO's and again runs the ball to the goal line and stops there. Most of my guys are prone at this point, so I stop standing them up. His bruisers are just knocking me down and causing injury. So in the better part of valor, I decide the loss is inevitable, and quit letting him knock me down. So he starts fouling.
He finally scores and gets another blitz and ignores the ball to continue knocking my guys down. He said it was because I quit trying, and he apparently wasn't happy I wasn't playing by his rules. Ahh well. I won't miss not playing with him.”
“The accounts of the match were correct for the minor error in stating fouling in the plural. I fouled once because I was frustrated at his laying down his players. I do not apologise for taking the opportunity to bash and bruise your team on the final turns by blocking them. Undead are mean and nasty, they tend to do those things. I would do that no matter who I was playing, this a game of blood and gore. Anyone can play the way they wish, up to them. You lay your guys down to protect them from the blocking they run the risk of getting fouled. C'est la vie. ”
