The Greenfield Crush took to the field again, this time versus some Chaos beats and warriors. The Crush pleased the fans as they got an increase in the team's following and got decent money. They also earned 13 points towards the Blitz Ivitational.

The first half, the Crush recieved. They formed a loose cage around their thrower, Fuggap, while most of the Chaos team was involved in a mid-pitch brawl in which the Orcs had more stronger players. The gobbos, Jurtive and Ponky, rushed downfield ready for the pass if it came.

Thrice did a Beastman hit the ballcarrier, and twice did he roll double skulls. The third time though, the Orcs were ready and had several players in position to recover even if the ball was knocked loose. With only one player in the area for the Chaos team, that Beastman did knock out the thrower, knocking the ball free, but was shielded by a lineman and the two gobbos who had come to help out in the situation. All the other players were too far away to help as Jurtive easily picked it up and walked into the endzone, wide clear of opponents.

That was about five turns into the half. The remaining three were spent by the Chaos trying to pick up the ball and get someone downfield. Another mid-pitch brawl held them up as the Orcs were overall stronger, but one Chaos Warrior got through after a foul badly hurt a lineorc. The Chaos Warrior caught a short pass and he looked like he was clear to run it in on the last turn. But the Crush managed to get two of their players free as well, a goblin who provided the assist for the Black Orc Blocker who knocked the Warrior down, ending any hope of the team scoring. On the last turn, frustrated by the loss of a score, Baby, a Beastman, blitzed Jurtive in an attempt to hurt him. But Jurtive was aware of the situation and the Beastman was too tired to block as his coach had told him to. He was badly hurt by the gobbo, ending the half. The halftime score: 1 - 0.

The Crush had trouble picking up the ball again, or else they ignored it. After a foul which was spotted by the ref, the Chaos team was down players, which was also due to the sweltering heat which appeared just as the first drive of the first half started. Outnumbered and outstrengthed, the Chaos team crumbled when Ogrand, an Orc Blitzer, blitzed the intended ballcarrier, knocking him prone, and Ponky picked up the ball, however right next to the prone Beastman.

A Chaos Warrior came back to blitz the poor goblin, but was only able to push him back. In return, Ponky dodged out of danger and handed the ball off to Jurtive, who ran to the opposite end of the field away from immediate danger. Too many players were in the mid-pitch brawl or in the dugout for HighHeeled to catch Jurtive, save one Warrior. He dodged away from a Block Orc Blocker and blitzed the gobbo using a re-roll on the dodge. He went for it twice to get in place but then rolled double skulls, which couldn't be re-rolled. Jurtive ran in for the touchdown the next turn. 2 - 0.

The last drive was very similar to the previous ones. The Chaos ignored the ball until it was too late and thus failed to score back. It seemd that the Crush always had a POW result ready for whe they needed it and ballhandling was very good today.

We got a statement from coach Oblitzamanger after the game. He said, "Having few re-rolls made it very difficult for the Chaos team. They got tired way too quickly and we had more stamina, thus won the game. I would like to thank coach Popcorn for the game and wish him better luck with his team."

This game was good for both teams. They both got money and there were no serious injuries or deaths. The Crush will continue working towards the Blitz Invitational.
