The Woodland dash came to play today against a team which was stronger than them, higher rated than them, and coached by a better coach, but they still managed to pull off a tie. They earned 15 points for the Blitz Invitational, 90k, three skills, two of them double guards, and + fan factor. They bought another Wardancer, and are looking good for their next few matches.

The first half was marked by a score and two deaths. The score was first as the pass came across the field avoiding interceptions. It landed clear into Sonpool's hands after Orkanhime, the team's only positional player, a Wardancer, had cleared the linelf of tacklezones. He ran strait into the endzone.

The numbers disadvantage undid their opponents as a fumbled pass for a sure touchdown resulted in a melee. First, a crowdpush killed poor Fallirai alla grande as the fans tore through him like wild animals (well, they were wild animals, so you can't blame them). Then the Dash got the ball too far away from the opponents that they couldn't come back, regardless of the fact they recovered the ball. Another Linelf fell too but was saved by the team's apothecary from the ultimate punishment. Halftime score: 1 - 0 in the Dash's favor.

In the next half, Orkanhime killed another linelf without the use of an apothecary. VANSS scored an easy two turn touchdown and the Dash took possesion of the ball.

After stalling a few turns, they finally had to run it in and it was 2 - 1 with two turns left.

The VANSS score back was inevitable as they easily chucked it to their Wardancer in the endzone after being marked by two players. 2 - 2.

So that was the game. We got a statement from coach Oblitzmanger after the game. He said to us, "I feel as if I didn't do anything, but rather it was all down to luck. I got really lucky that he was down players, and that is the only reason we tied today. Although it was looking for a little while we would win, the tie was inevitable as neither coach made any huge tactical errors which couldn' be covered up by pure luck.

I thank coach Gary_Gygax for the game. I appreciate his talkativeness and general good humor, sportiness, and personality. I think he is a great coach who has his priorities right in this game. I will gladly play him again. Coaches, this is a man to play."

"We were lucky to have no deaths save one who was saved. I feel bad the fans were brutal and Orkanhime was deadly, but we have no control over the fans. They have been especially brutal with my teams in the Blitz Invitational. Throughout the many games I've had with my five team in the Blitz Invitational, the fans have thrown rocks, killed player, invaded the pitch over three times, thrown the ball into bad places, and generally been obnoxious. But their money keeps us going! So I'll put up with them for a while longer until I have to show them a thing or two..."

"I feel good about the team as they earned a lot of money and the fans (which went wild by badly hurting one of ours with a rock and stunning one of their's with a rock as well as killing one off a crowdpush) were supportive today. This team will continue towards the Blitz Ivitationals as the have beaten out the Jungle Slash for third place at the moment."

He then ran off to make a sacrifice to Nuffle right there on the pitch. Can't blame him for being pious after that lucky performance.

We interviewed Orkanhime, the Wardancer after the game. He said, "I wasn't the star of this match as I have been, but that is good as the entire team put out a good performance as a whole, meaning there was no star. I am excited to move forward and train the new Wardancer recruit, Mungle."

We managed to inteview Mungle too. He is a new recruit and is about to play his first game. "I think the team is decent. They have two guards now and with me four blockers. Any team with two Wardancers is a threat. I think with my skill to bring to the party, we can win the Blitz Invitational. By the holy forest of Loren, we can beat anyone with me on their side!"
