“The girls took to the pitch for the last time before they would play in the Blitz Invitational, for hich they earned 13 points, and moved into second place. They now have the highest TS for all of the five teams in the tourney.

They started with the ball and faked to one side with a cage, but pulled back towards the other side of the pitch, threatening to score. But the Dark Elves did a great job stopping the cage by totally surrounding it, forcing Patricia, the team's thrower, to pass it off. It went to Avery, who dodged once the next turn to score.

The Darkies had a shot at the equalizer just before halftime, but the pass was fumbled. Halftime score: 1 - 0.

They scored a quick and eaasy two turn touchdown just after the break. There was little the Slash could do to prevent it.

When Patricia failed to pick up the ball on the next drive, the entire team was left out of position and the Darkies tore through them and scored easily. Thus the Slash squandered their 1 - 0 lead into a 2 - 1 deficit.

When the Darkies pressured Patricia with three players, she dodged and tossed it to Molly, a catcher, who was left unmarked for some strange reason. Molly took two turns making it to the endzone, but it didn't matter, as that was enough for the unprecidented draw.

We got this statement from coach Oblitzamanger after the game. "I want to thank coach armchairwarrior for the game. He played well. I wish him good luck with his team.

"I still can't believe I drew this game. I was outclassed by a better team, and I still tied somehow. The entire game I had a feeling I would lose, but the girls did a fine, if not nail-biting, job tonight. They are ready for the Blitz Invitational. They are now in second place and have plenty of re-rolls, players, and skills. They should be fine."

He then ran off to the center of the pitch to make a sacrifice to Nuffle. The girls joined him in his chants and after this was all done, we got a quote from Celia, who learned guard at the next practice. "We pulled off an amazing feat today. It will be even sweeter when we win the Blitz Invitationals!!!"”
