“An excellent game, they received the ball in the first half. We were unable to mount any sort of defense as they trundled through our line and scored.
We didn't have much time to reply, and were forced to resort to elfin tactics. Mainly because we didn't have the manpower or the strength to open a hole and create a box on their side fo the field. Understandably, Norse make poor elfs and were not able to score.
The second half was another story, our blodge catcher was able to keep their mummies more or less at midfield. With some timely blocks and more or less even strength, we slowly moved the ball up the field until we were able to free a player couple of players to move downfield and further split their defenses. Finally making the move to get a box in their zone just yards from the endzone.
The ensuing kickoff did not go well as our line men were left on the field with valkyries spinning around their heads. They made a feint to make their way up the top half of the field. We managed to contain that, but unfortunately, our blodge catcher was unable to keep the mummies busy this time and they opened a hole in the middle of the field allowing them to get through where it would have been difficult to reach the ball carrier. It was enough as our players were too engaged by theirs for us to get to the ball carrier.
A fun game and very tight game. Thanks for playing.”
“There is little to add to the well written report by master RestEasy.
It was a real crowd pleaser. Flesh and bones were mangled and crushed, and some cunning tactics were displayed from both sides of the pitch. The final result was uncertain until the last thrilling turn.
It was great fun. Cheers!”
