“Honoured by the challange recieved from their dwarven allies, the Sigmarite Sluggers arrived at the Middenheim arena. Fearing the dwarfs for their renown teamwork and skilled Longbeards, they decided to even the odds by clubbing the referie. His replacement weren't too keen to get the same treatment, and looked the other way as they fouled away at the slayers. This didn't do nothing but enrage the dwarfs though, and they responded by booting out three human players during the first half.

The dwarfs recieved the first kick-off, but they failed to protect their ball carrier after their initial assault along the LoS. This gave the Sluggers a chance to counter with a blitz and snatch the ball, eventually scoring with only a couple of minutes remaining before the break.

As the dwarfs put up a loose defense at the start of the second half, the Sluggers was able to make a quite blitz proof cage flanking through the right widezone, and scoring nine minutes into the half.

After this the dwarfs got their act together and formed a solid cage blitzing their way through the human defenses, the slayers pushing any defender too close to the border into the crowd, where they got a rough treatment by the dwarven fans.

They finaly scored in the last seconds of the match, reducing the result to 2 - 1 for the Sluggers!”
