The Graveyard Gnash took to the pitch for the first time ever. They did a good job too, being able to tie a Khemri team in what may have been coach Oblitzamanger's toughest game ever.

The team earned 13 points for the Blitz Invitational, a good first stepp towards that elusive championship. Although a flesh golem and a zombie would have to miss the next game, the other flesh golem learned how to guard his team mates better, earning the team's first skill.

The first half started when a werewolf failed the pick up roll. From then on, the entire half was thrown into a chaotic battle near the sideline. The mid-pitch brawl was the focus of the entire half as the Gnash futily tried to rescue the ball from under the dead noses of three mummies (the fourth missed the match due to a niggling injury) over and over again. But finally, with some pushbacks, after the ball had been picked up twice, once by each team, and then the ballcarrier being smashed, the ball was popped into open space. A werewolf dodged to pick it up then handed it off to the wight Sollong who had just ended the Khemri's turn when on a one dice block, the opponent rolled a skull. Since Sollong was open and now unmarked, he ran to the opposite side of the pitch, totally clear of oppoenents. He scored on the last turn in an amazing effort on the Gnash's part. But, basically, a one dice block that ended in a SKULL gave the Gnash their score. Halftime score: 1 - 0.

The second half was great too. The Khemri got the ball and made a side wall for their throw-ra. The Gnash picked at it and picked at it until both side's numbers had been reduced. Finally, on trun 7, the throw-ra made a break for it up the middle. Only the werewolf could stop the score, so he dodged, then in the one dice block, guess what he rolled... hat's right! SKULL! Thus, on the last turn, the Khemri also scored.

Basically, both touchdowns could have been prevented if both sides had not rolled SKULL. But, that is the fickle game of Nuffle. And there was so much more to each drive than just one dice roll. but, don't take our word for it, ask coach Oblitzamanger.

"I thought this was one of the toughest, if not THE toughest, games I have ever played. Coach Bytez0r is a great coach, and I thoughroughly enjoyed this game. I will gladly play him again.

"Playing with Necromantics is different from playing with Woodies in that I felt like I actually did something, instead of just relying on luck. The handicap, Extra Training, really helped me this game. Although I didn't use it in the first half, the second half it was crucial. I felt like this game was really well fought by both sides to get their respective touchdowns. The game was far from decided by just one dice roll each. Look at the luck meter. It just may be right for a change."

He then ran off to make a sacrifice to Nuffle right there on the picth. The sacrifice involved many rites and much carnage, as coach Oblitzamanger was very happy with Nuffle today.
