Let me just start by saying that this was one of the most fun matches I've played on fumbbl. I thought I was going to lose on my misplaying a turn but managed to pull out a turn 16 tie. Sometimes a tie feels like a loss and sometimes a tie feels like a win. This one feels like a win....but at what cost?
Start of the match, pouring rain and the handicap I get for the match is bad press. Early in the match, my mummies manage to SI and BH a couple of zons but my Thro-Ra can't seem to pick up the ball for a few turns. Early RIP has the Fox Force use up their apoth and a cluster of skeletons and Blit-Ra's was too much for the Fox's wizard to pass up. One blast and my str 4 skeleton is BH and doesn't regen. The muddy match went back and forth the first half with both teams not able to pickup the ball. Another hard block caused a SI that wasn't regen. The cas boxes were filling up by the end of the half with the score 0-0.
The second half, the Rail Garrison kicks off and we get to BLITZ! One short blitz from Seti and GoGo is nothing but a blood spot. We don't celebrate the RIP because shortly there after, Imhotep is gang fouled and niggled which of course failed to regen. All out pickups in the second half worked and it looked like we'd be able to score but the zons managed to block the Thro-Ra and SI him. Finally, we regen an injury. Things look grim on this raining day, the zons are rolling nothing but POWs to end the match while all we can do is push them around. Finally, Rameses, our experienced Blitz-Ra, dodges out of a TZ (rerolled) and picks up the ball in the rain and gfi into the EZ for the game tying TOUCHDOWN!!!
Things look interesting going into the playoffs. Both Texan and I are weakened for our next match. Good Luck. Last time I used Zara, she got sent off the first roll. ”
