“Master'sApprentice summary of the game says it all really. It was a oone sided affair with some amazing and highly unexpected blocks by the humans, throw in some skulls for the chaos and you have the perfect recipe for disaster.
Enough said, there wasnt much the mutants could do in this game but cudos goes to head coach Master'sApprentice for hanging in and for showing good sportsmanship even when most people would have lost all hope. ”
I was expecting a pretty violent match, having looked at the opposing team - no catchers, and Zug hired for the occasion - but nothing on this scale. I hardly know where to begin. The ref was got early on, so his DP claimed 2 players. 2 more were BH from rolling skulls. An amazing drive saw La Longue manage a K.O, a Badly Hurt, a Serious Injury and a Kill in a single turn (anyone else had that happen before)? And I broke armour once. It was a stunned.
When your team's plays are all based on running the ball, and you've only got 6 men lining up with a 2 TD deficit, the odds aren't good, and so we threw in the towel at half-time. I've made plenty of comments about this team being awful at blocking (we now have a -17 injury difference. In a Chaos team...), but this game sunk them to all new lows. Two men down next game, a loss in FF, and not a single SPP or gold coin to show for it.
Sorry, enough of the ranting (or wallowing, I suppose). Credit goes to Schalburg and his battering ram of a team. Ruthless, efficient, and always in a hurry to score, which is nice to see. I look forward to returning the pain (hopefully) in the future :o)
Anyone in need of a recovery game against some pitiful beastmen, please let me know...”
