“Our ship passed within site of a small landmass and we decided that we would look for fruit and fresh water to refill our stocks. From the crows nest the trees looked like they held oranges the size of a mans head.
As we got closer and deployed the rowboat, <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=271414">Krazy Ivan</a> said he had a bad feeling about this and decided to stay on board and tend to <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=306321">Goz'k Elftorturer</a> and <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=266916">Dirty Dick Melton</a> who were banged up from our last raid.
The crew deployed and we knew something was wrong as soon as we set foot on the island. It wasn't an island at all but some strange living <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=235126">mass</a> that had infected the entire area.
The trees were not trees but some <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=268506">foul looking, rotting creatures</a> that had pustules hanging from them and the beasts that roamed the island were not dead, but not alive either.
We fought hard as we tried to make it back to the ship but they had cut us off and we had to move back inland. We had used every dirty trick in the book to try to rid us of the vile creatures and at one point had the beast subdued and the "trees" incapacitated, leaving nothing but the undead beasts to defend the island.
<a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=269317">Sneaky Pete</a> found something of value during the battle and quickly deposited it in his bag.
<a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=269422">Wild Wilhelm</a> went beserk after the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=270600">Captain</a> was injured by one of the beasts and he proceeded to jump up and down on as many of the creatures as he could.
But in the end the beasts and their foul "trees" beat us back from the island and we had to flee for our lives or join the ranks of that infested island.
On to the next raid...”
