The Dash took to the field today expecting to be mashed to hell, but they survived and and even won against a grotty group of goblins. The team earned 16 points towards the Blitz Invitational, and got two new skills, as well as enough money to buy a Treeman.

The Dash kicked off and the Green Haze stunned all three linelfs on the Line of Scrimage. They made a loose cage around their ballcarrier and waited for the Dash to respond. And they did, with a mighty force. Orkanhime, the tackling Wardancer, leapt and blitzed that ballcarrier, knocking him prone. Then the newest addition to the team, Mungle, the team's second Wardancer, followed up and put another tackle zone on the ball. But the Green Haze replied with an astounding force. They put nearly every body they had around the ball and created a mid-pitch brawl.

The Dash swept in as well to win the ball, but a lucky knockout on Orkanhime, the star of the team, enabled the goblins to get the ball. Then, after Da fetcha used his diving tackle skill to bring down Mungle, the gobbos ran away with the ball and Mungle was stunned by a foul; however, the fouler was sent off. The ballcarrier didn't get far as half of the Dash players swarmed in again to stop him. But, he slipped by again, this time next to Da Throwa, a troll, who had been picking his nose ever since he had stunned a linelf that first turn. Sure enough, he was still too busy picking his nose to chuck the gobbo downfield, and Mungle got up to blitz the poor stunty.

But he failed to knock him down as Da Smasha, the other troll, was knocked over by Mungle the next turn, allowing the dash to strip the ball from him (but not after three blocks thrown at him in one turn). Phalant, evading a diving tackle, picked up the ball and ran into the endzone, but not after Da Fetcha tripped and fell going for it to blitz Phalant.

The scoreline remained the same at halftime: 1 - 0.

Orkanhime regained conciousness, which was vital for the Dash, and he and Mungle formed a cage in the backfield around Phalant who held onto the ball. But the well planned defence of the Green Haze disturbed the offensive thrust of the Dash, and their catchers were unable to break through the lines. So, a hasty pass had to be made after both trolls stepped up to the Wardancers. Likanbrap, who had been stunned on the LOS his first turn again, recieved the pass from Phalant with protection from Denfascus. And then, Orkanhime with two assists knocked out Da Throwa, lukily in the backfield.

However, with only one linelf to help him, Likenbrap was layed flat on the turf, and the other gobbos rushed to get the ball. Then, another brawl started deep in the Green Haze's half. With no troll to stop them, Orkanhime and his two assisters reinforced the poor position of their team mates in the brawl. Although they were outnumbered, that was quickly solved as Huzim picked up the ball, and was sub-sequently badly hurt the next turn. The goblins managed to get the ball away from the fight, which had progressed near the sideline, and get a gobbo next to the other remaining troll, Da Smasha, who completed a throw team mate pass.

Tronda was then downfield with the ball, too far away to stop save one wardancer, Mungle. Using two go for its with no re-rolls, he POWed the +ag, blodging gobbo and was able to recover the ball when the reinforcement for Tronda tripped on a go for it. He then passed it upfield to Almaniat who was upfield. Almaniat scored strait away, taking no chances. 2 - 0.

The gobbos recieved and tried a Throw team mate touchdown, but the trolls were still picking their noses and were unable to do it, save once when a gobbo was attempted to be eaten. Mungle was able to break the jaw of a gobbo (the apothecary saved him) and earned a much needed 2 more SPPs.

Coach Oblitzamanger said this to us after the game. "I want to thank coach kwek for another great game versus his stunties. He played great and if his trolls hadn't been *ahem* distracted almost the entire game, and if he had managed to make his other throw team mate play work, he would've tied or won this game, easily. I give a lot of props to him and his team for playing valiantly the entire match, and not fouling when unecessary. He is a great coach, a great guy, and I would love to play him again.

"I feel we actually fought hard this game, as compared to past games when I felt that we hardly did anything. I feel this game was truly well won by us, although a few changed dice rolls could've stolen the game. Still, with many SPPs, two new skills, and a new Treeman for next game, this team is definately ready for the Blitz Invitational.

"I am proud of them."

He then ran off to the center of the pitch to make a sacrifice to Nuffle right there which included many elaborate rituals. The two wardancers performed amazing stunts in honor of Nuffle and in thanks for the good luck, in thanks for no injuries, and in thanks for the good money. They also prayed for more luck during the Blitz Invitational.

We managed to interview Mungle after the ritual. He said, "We did very well today. I made two completions which were vital to winning the match, and even managed to hurt one of those detestable grots. I am happy with the team and it's performance, and I look forward to future games with them."

The team is only one point behind third place team Shadow Bite. If they mange to get only even two points their next game, they will move into second place and most likely play in the Footstool match against the Jungle Slash, while relagating the Bite to play most likely the Graveyard Gnash in the Crumbs match. The Dash has one more game before the Blitz Invitational.
