“The weather didn't help in this match. Pouring rain made it difficult for our already less than agile dwarves to pick up the ball. We did manage to get the ball into our hands a couple of times, little good it did us, since our opponent's defence proved too strong for our players to penetrate. it didn't help that I made an error and clicked a skull instead of p/p.
In the second half, we had a blitz and a well placed kick gave us a chance to start with it in our hands. Positioning our players where the ball would land wasn't enough as they played hot potato with it to make it fall at midfield. It was a comedy of errors as we tried and tried to pick up the ball.. only to fail again, and again. They managed to get a clear path to the ball and like us failed to pick it up... the first time. The next turn they managed to get the ball, we were forced to force a turnover, only to watch the ball land unprotected again as it bounced from dwarven hands to dwarven hands. Once again they picked up the ball and once again we forced the fumble. We clear the ball and go to pick it up... and fail, it once again does a hot potato to land next to three of his players. He managed to get his hands on it again!!! Three times in a row and we couldn't pick up the ball yet, but unfortunately he was so concentrating on the ball that he slipped and fell, coughing up the ball. We finally got our hands on it, a little too late seeing as how the final whistle rang moments later.
A great game with a great coach. Thanks for playing.”
