“when the game started i was wondering if nuffle had hear what i had done to his daughter. a turn two score then a blitz and a turn three score and we were looking at a 0-2 defeict in three turns with my opponent at 88% luck. but then, the dwarfs talked to the mino and promised meat. the dwarfs them selfs started to play and at the half the badly hurt box had three rats and the lead was only one. the second half saw the rats hanging on to survive. the dwarfs continued there assult with the hobgobos cleaning up the rat messes left behind. with all that said a win was not sucured until turn 7 in the second half. kodos to johnny for playing so well in the bloodbath that was thrown him. very well played. i look forward to the rematch in the playoffs.”
A good first couple rounds, put Diablos out to an early lead, but they suffered a couple of badly hurts early, including Cynder the Rat Ogre, and it was downhill from there.
Once outmanned (down to 5 players by the end of the game), the rats could do little but try to survive the tackle zones of the dwarves, the blitzes of the minotaur and the fouling of the hobgoblins. They beat up on Dorgo, who after several rounds of being fouled, finally succumbed to the same armor droping injury of his fellow storm vermin, Valtero. Who needs armor 8 anyways, really?
With little to do but watch their lead slip from their claws, the rats crawled from the field at the end with little permanent damage, considering a 0-7 cas difference! And two of the rats picked up skills, so in a game or two, I'll look back with a little less angst!
