Luck meter is wrong after a reload. Probably 65 - 50 is fair.
The stronger Pact side scored first (after the 2 handicaps for the Khemri were smelling salts and Duh! Where am I? (Given to the Gutter Runner)), easily flanking the out of position Khemri forces after the Gutter managed to dodge in and out of a TZ, recovering the ball after a successful blitz. Luckily, the Khemri managed 2bh (inc. 1/3 of the Pact big guys), a KO and a SI to the Gutter during the first half, so a slow, 8 turn grind of a TD was possible for our Throw-Ra in the second. During this drive, the Pact Goblin and a Blitzer were killed, along with the remaining big guys KO'd.
Into overtime and the Pact could field 8 players to the Khemri 11, but they were receiving the ball. What happened next was kind of strange, when I kicked off, the Pact team simply ran away from the ball in all directions, allowing the odd scene of a Khemri cage sitting outside the end zone for 5 turns, as the turn meter passed back and forth, no-one moving for 8 combined turns! Apparently Smashak didn't want to risk any further injury and simply gave up. Odd in a Semi-Final, especially as he had a fair chance of flanking the slow Khemri, or at least playing keep-ball for 8 turns and forcing the coin flip.
Anyway, Smashak played well in the regulation game time, and was great in the chat, nice about a couple of reloads and problems we had starting the game, a Gent. I'll take the win! Likely finalists are this tournament's previous winners on the last two occasions, a Chaos Pact team with a tr of over 300 and claws everywhere.... Tune in to see Khemri out-bashed! :D
