“The Woodland Dash took to the pitch again after their loss in the Blitz Invitational. Although they did horrible in this game, they got plenty of money, and two new skills, which made this game a not so bad result.
The luck meter must be out of order as coach Oblitzamanger's luck was below 33% most of the game. Coach Pblito can vouch for this as the Dash couldn't succeed at much this game.
Coach Pablito asked for a recovery match for his team, but sadly he didn't get one. With their star thrower's leg being fractured, the team is close to retirement.
The game started with Feanor Wood scoring two easy touchdowns in the first half. Mapal Sirrup, a Treeman, badly hurt the Dash's Treeman, Bodanteal within the first five turns. And with another linelf being badly hurt before that, the Dash was in for quite a game. Add that onto the fact that the pouring rain made the Dash fail a pickup in the backfield meant that Feanor scored twice easily.
The second half, the Dash scored back with their captain Wardancer, Orkanhime. But then Feanor laid it on thick as they scored another right back. 3 - 1
But a miraculous cage play by the Dash in which they caged around their ballcarrier and walked up the field unopposed, led to a quick handoff to Orkanhime again, who had ran down the field to recieve the pass, badly hurt a defender, and leapt to get clear of two opponents. He scored the team's second score as well. 3 - 2
But there was only two turns left for Feanor to score back and after two dodges and two gfi's they did score, but not without a failed catch in the backfield which gave the Dash some hope of the score being 3 - 2.
But alas, the final score is 4 - 2. This is not reflective of how the game actually went as the Dash only deserved 1 touchdown with all their bad luck and Feanor deserved more, although there were many brave leaps made by Mungle and Orkanhime, the team's Wardancers, to stop the scores.
We got a statement from coach Oblitzaanger after the game. "I want to thank coach Pablito for the game and for not maiming my playes. I had the ref and Bribe the Ref 2 for a long while, but i think it was mutually understood that neither team could afford a fouling war. He had challenged me with this team before and I turned him down when the teams were a lot closer in TR and TS. But I felt that this game wouldn't be so bad as he would have fewer players and a few niggling injuries, which were all passed.
"Both teams played valiantly, but there was one clear winner. I am dissapointed with the team's performance as they obviously need extra training to succeed more rolls. So they got a new team re-roll after the game. Orkanhime took my words to the next level as he pushed himself to become faster, and I helped Almaniat learn how to dodge opponents better. These two are the first two players of mine to ever reach 16SPPs on fumbbl. I am proud *snif*.
"This team is now better than ever and their TR/TS is huge, the best I've ever had here on fummbl. I have high hopes for the team as even though they sucked today, they are at full strength and ready to play!"
He then ran off to make a sacrifice to Nuffle right there on the pitch. The sacrifice was a large celebration and the players from Feanor were confused because they had won! But the spectacular show was not enough to win bac the lost fans from the match.
The Woodland Dash is ready to take on another opponent and they are certainly looking fine. That is all for today's report, stay tuned for more information about the Blitz Invitational!”
