“A nice match of bloodbowl, with the emphasis on blood...
The Moonbeams got of to a very good start where they simply succeeded in everything they did, at least until a zombie tried to dodge and killed himself. Unfazed by this drawback they still managed to score, and when the Red Storm Rising didn't score in return things looked pretty good for the Moonbeams at halftime, even after another linezombie was killed by Lenin the ogre.
In the second half the Moonbeams put up a desperate defense to try and hold on to their lead, and they very nearly stopped another Reds drive, but unfortunately for them the brave ghoul Chipmunk was killed and his ultimate sacrifice proved to be in vain when the Reds scored after all.
By now the game had definitely turned in favor of the Reds, but the plucky Moonbeams managed to score yet again, even though they were down to eight players.
With three turns left the Reds felt confident that they would manage a draw, but the drive started with the minotaur Trotsky stunning himself, in effect giving the Moonbeams a blitz, and the draw suddenly seemed far away. Never ones to give up though the Red Storm Rising played their best when it mattered the most and managed to TD for their third draw in a row...
Thanks for this very fun match oeuftete, sorry about all the deaths and good luck in rebuilding the team! It takes a tough coach to take three deaths and just keep smiling... :)”

“An entertaining match, to be sure, but the Moonbeams paid a very high price for the draw. Two zombies and a ghoul were killed, and frequent rock target Gregory Archer picked up a niggling injury.
Still, a very fun match. The Moonbeam commune opened the match with an amazing string of luck... even a massive coaching lapse in the protection of the ball carrier didn't come back to bite them, and Summer Bramble was able to waltz in for the opening score. The menacing Reds were unable to pull off a moderately difficult tying score, and the half ended 1-0.
(I'm already blanking on the details of the second half. I think it was... Indur scored and I could only set up 8 to receive at 1-1. I set up hoping to just hold on to the draw, but I was able to set up an opportunity and convert. Indur then followed with a nice score to tie it on turn 8.)
Anyway, very fun match. Indur is a fine opponent, and is at least as fun as he is talented. (That's a compliment!) But you all knew that.”
