“So, how is it that every time my poor dwarfs play Emphasy that I have to do a recovery match after?

Handicap was knuckledusters, which gave them two Claw/MB to work with. Starting out with 12 dwarfs, it quickly became a lost match, til late in first half one wolf fails dodge and -ma himself. Then second half I received, and held it out long enough for that other wolf to KO himself on a dodge. From there it was a less painful two turn holdout before scoring the winning TD.

Lucky match, made a great comeback after that first half; results could've been way worse! Injuries were movement drops (bringing total received to 25/30/13), which I found very suiting to my team. :)
