“Third game of the K-130 Tournament for the Ghostriders going against the 1-0 undead.
The Undead received two great handicaps (it wasn't me and buzzing (given to Mummy -19 blocks thrown as a result) that tilted what could have been a better match for the elfs.
The Undead started with the ball and were quickly able to form a cage in mid-field which they marched up the sidelines. Repeated elf attempts to break cage were finally successful but an unwillingness to gfi with no rr on turn 7 meant the elfs ended one square short of a TD for their defensive efforts.
The second half saw the elf team go on offence, but any attempts to penetrate Gottes Tod defence were dealt with handily. Eventually the Undead were able to overwhelm the elfs and score in the middle of the half.
With only 7 players to field for the last and possible tying drive, trying to survive was paramount in the Grey Haven players minds. Slaughtered by a frenzied jump-up Mummy the LOS dissolved and ghouls and wights chased the ball carrier around for a few turns but came up a pip short on the 2-0 victory.
Though the Mummies has soft hands (thankfully) they were the main focal point of every turn. The elfs are now thinking of adding a dirty player to get the old boot in every now then. Mummies regenerate don't they?”
