#4 "Big" Bugor – Dead (RIP)
The game and loss, from my point of view, can be summarized to one JavaBowl message:

"PILING ON not necessary"

With the number of Blocks I was able to throw with my Piling On Black Orcs (three of them), added to the fact that they only need to roll 6 on 2D6 to get ANY of his players AT LEAST stunned, it's a miracle he still won the CAS 4-2.

It's very typical of Korhil to complain about a few STUNS he received when he should be thankful to Nuffle half of his team isn't lying in the hospital. :-)

About the last Blitz which Korhil calls a mistake but I'd rather call it a decision. If I were to Blitz with the AG 4 Blitzer, what would have happened? The ball would have dropped in the middle of the Gors and Orcs and into my End Zone's way. This would have lead to a long brawl for the ball and with no Re-Rolls it would have been basically impossible for me to score from there. As I knew I had to win (because of the funny rule about bigger FF winning in case of a tie) I just had to gamble and blitz with my Kicker (!). With a two die block AND a Re-Roll this wasn't too difficult, but was not meant to be. It would have left the ball close to my AG 4 Blitzer who would have then been able to move quite a bit from there towards KK's half.

Good and exciting game anyway, I suppose I just need to feed those Black Orcs more and gain some more weight on em...

For those that watched, I hope they were entertained... was a very tense game to be playing.

I win the Flip... and choose to recieve (as I always will with anyrace against any other race).
Weather is fine.

I "Get the Ref"

First turn, I manage my first 2 Blocks in the LOS... I leave the OGRE vs TROLL block til the EOT as usual. My Blitz fails, just a PUSH against his Block/Guard/PO BO.
I foul with the REF, and do nothing
I pick up the Ball, the my OGRE BH's for what will be a run of them.
He Blocks players arround some players, getting Knock Downs for basically all of them.
My 2nd turn my Blitz works (POW)... nothing else does... OGRE BH's again... I cover the ball with Guards. He nails more players... Niggles a CW which I have to APOTH on T2.
I manage to get a FOUL in to KO a player, OGRE actually gets to move for once. Ball is secure. His T3 he nails more players arround but hasnt got much stopping me making progress to scoring.
I get the Idea he half wants to me to score so he can score back, then take 8 turns 2nd half to 2-1 me.

Quick Luck check after T3.... 33%-68%

I roll some more PUSHES... having made about 6 successful blocks in 4 turns. ofcourse, i had DBL SKULLed first up burning the RR, so my Blitz that needed a GFI was dodgy... I manage it... but fail the 2nd GFI to follow arround and secure the place of the CAGE... ofcourse he stuns himself, leaving both my more advanced players stunned. He comes in on the Ball and almost locks it down. I have to bring in another player and Blitz with my CW he knocked over to make room... him following up with his GUARD skill lets me block some more. I move my free players and my OGRE who passed BH this turn, which was kinda KEY for my play I was wanting to make... My Ball Carrier runs centre field with the OGRE and a GUARD Beastmen covering him.
His 1 die Blitz fails... (PUSH)... and his players are out of place to defense properly. I Block to get the Ball Carrier mostly clear, then secure the position before usuing his DODGE skill to get him out, and Hand-off, using the TRR... I can score, but wait right in the corner to leave him with NO defense.
He blocks some players... chooses to not bother trying to stop me scoring and goes for the CAS... I score in T8

He sets up his Troll and Gobbo... his Troll fails RS for the first time in the game.

I have one played KO'ed and my Apoth used, he has everyone.

Me Kicking, standard Setup... 3-4-4

He BH's a CW and KO's another in the LOS in T1... so I have 9 players for the rest of the drive before my first turn. He forms a really weak CAGE... s I Blitz in and get TZ's on the Ball Carrier. We fight in the Centre like this, in his Half, I get 2 db's on his Ball Carrier twice, both working, but I cant make the Pick-ups for one because I dont have a free player, and the next time I fail it, scattering to 2 TZ's. His Turn after this gives him the dice where he needs them to gaurantee a TD... He manages the pick up with AG3 and gets up field. Then manages to STUN my deepest CW on defense leaving me with almost noone back enough now. I DBL SKULL first up burning a RR, after hitting players my Blitz GFI fails. He runs well out of range to be stopped. He uses his APOTH on a Blitzer being BH for some reason.
We get a Frenzy Bug... FA WORKs, but the BLOCK has to be resolved which is a SKULL. His player is BH.
Not being able to stop him, I get deep with about 3 players to force the TD, and throw alot of Blocks in the Centre... I kill a BO off a 1 Die Block where I've got nothing else to do since he's gotten away so easily after losing the ball to me. I dont think hes happy about it, but he had used the Apoth on a BH.
He scores.

I have 3 turns to score and 1RR... he still has 4 left from 5.
I get a RR off the Kick-Off, but lose both trying to pick up the ball.
He wastes 2 on PUSH results.

OVERTIME
He has 2 RR's, I have none.
I win the flip to Recieve, but with no RR's I'll prolly just fail the Pick up some more.

Bad Kick gives me the TouchBack, that helps.

I make 'some' progress with Blocks, getting a PUSH in the LOS, a POW, a POW on the Blitz and then my OGRE BH's again so I cant his his TROLL.

He commits 3 players to hitting my ST5 CW of the opposite flank to the Ball for some reason. He manages to Blitz my GUARD CW near my Ball Carrier with his Daunltess Blitzer and gets a TZ on me... ofcourse, that CW gets stunned... I have to bring a player back to Blitz me out of a TZ. Then I have to rely on a 1 die Block to make any more progress... I get the POW and BH his BO... which gives me the *Best* result I can hope for... tho its fragile... the Ball Carrier with a Guard Beastmen with him about 4 squares into his Half.
He gets players deep giving himself room to move in after next turns advance... he still keeps players to his my ST5 CW.
I advance upfield with the Guard covering... but my Blitz on his AG4 Blitzer is just a PUSH, I needed a POW to be able to consider my position 'holdable'.
He Blitzes with the Wrong Player, and pays for it... get gets the Ball Carrier but the ball scatters deep to where his AG4 Blitzer that should have Blitzed cant get to it.
It still ugly for me... still running off no RR's... I have to roll a 1 die to get moving again, that works... I get 2 dice on his only player on the Ball... if i POW I just need to pick up to score... its a PUSH so I put him on the ball and it scatters, the follow up puts it in 2 TZ's.
He does alot and nails alot of players before having to make the semi dificult play for the ball... he need a 2+ dodge, 4+ pick up, 2+ dodge... the then to throw a Long Pass to keep it off me convicingly. He fails the first Dodge, but I have alot of work to do.
I nail the one Line Orc with a TZ on the ball. Meaning I score on a 3+...
That isnt good enough odds for me... So I make sure to BLOCK everyone arround and position better for the failed pick up.

Pick up works, I score... YAH!

Just over 2hrs for the game... My Longest ever on FUMBBL. Seamed more like I was playing Chess that Blood Bowl the way it I was having to think out the turns.

Very tight game in which my Luck started shit, but improved slowly and to a point that I managed to pull it off.
It looked doubtful mid way though the first when it looked like I wouldnt even score...
Then I was a lil annoyed he'd got away from the brawl in the Centre so easily after he'd allowed me to nail his Ball Carrier like that so much.
And then failing pick-ups and burning RR's late in the 2nd half... if he won the flip to recieve in OT... there would be 0% chance of me winning.
