“Coach Maul felt that the RoR were ready for a bit of a challenge. he had to see if they could punch a little above their own weight. he recieved his answer in a titanic struggle for on field domination that lasted an entire 2 halves.
It was trench warfare from the start as both teams gave it everything to gain the upperhand. Fortunately for the RoR, it appeared that the Temple had been lax in their training drills pre game and a number of plays were ended prematurely as they fell over an extraordinary number of times. The Temples one bright moment was the killing of the RoR #11 Kovnart. Coach Maul, when asked for a comment said "bah, I didn't like his name anyways"
The RoR under the watchful eye of Coach Maul gained the upperhand in the second half. it was only due to some desperate last gasp defence from the Temples Hobgoblins that the rampaging beastmen of RoR were kept out.
Practice this week will be all about ball skills as the final 2 turns and a game winning TD were pissed into the wind when the Beastmen couldnt pick the ball up 1 square and wide open from the TD line.
Note: The fans passed around a hat pre-game and were able to bribe the ref. The lovely sentiment was appreciated even if it wasnt taken fully advantage of.”
