Asterix and his villagers did quite well, with Dogmatix sound in the back field, Asterix managing to evade blitzers to set up many scoring opportunities, and Geriatrix's Wife pulling off a few spectacular moves. Asterix was heard to say afterwards, "Poor Geriatrix... he'll be doing the dishes again tonight, by Toutatis!"
Cacofonix earned the MVP award, but immediately developed a niggling injury, which by all accounts was sustained to his pride. The miscreants involved remain at large, although two thick-set men wielding a blacksmith's hammer and a rotten fish were seen walking away innocently from the training ground...”

In an unprecedented display of ferocity, fans from both teams ganged up on the hapless referee at the second half kick-off, but the Norse lived up to their warrior code of honor and didn't take advantage and, of course, the Elves are above such things.
