“Well, the Gypsies come off the UMT as winners in their own hearts, if not in the minds of the organizers.
They stepped back into the free-wheeling unranked games with much gusto. Unfortunately, the Willow Fronds were out to harsh their gig. The Gypsies found themselves quickly down 2-0 in the first half. The boys lost the ball on the first drive and then again on the second one.
The boys came out swinging in the second half. Taking the ball away from the elves, St. Stone marched in to make the game 2-1. But the elves pushed forward on the kick-off and scored a one turn TD.
The Boys from Dark Water, resigned to losing, took it out in flesh. Pushing several elves out of bounds, the fans got a hold of one rookie elf and beat him to death, thinking he was the catcher that had just scored. St. Stone took a hand-off from Drawbridge and marched in for a second TD. Which, though satsifying, still left the score 3-2.
To add to the pain of the loss, the Gypsies fell 10K short of purchasing a much needed fourth blitzer. And in a cruel sense of fate, Olaf Moat was given the MVP, and picked up a niggling injury in the process. To balance it out, though the Gypsies top casuality dealer, Jawshatter picked up the rare skill of guarding to suppliment his other unusual skill dodge. Now if he could only block (but he seems to be doing well enough without it...)

Great game from crysist!”
