Chaos receive and leave a back corner "open" in which my kicker pooches the ball (in the endzone). A goat gfi's and marks the ball. Tree lofts a 'fling into the open field and he picks it up in a tz for the TTM defensive score. 1-0.
Next kickoff comes a flurry of wacky plays. A goat picks up the ball and attempt to throw it upfield but fumbles it back behind himself. Another successful TTM play is followed by yet another pickup in a TZ and a dodge for daylight. Goat dodges away from the marker and runs down and BH's the ballcarrier - thought long and hard about using the apo but just couldn't do it. Two flings run back and mark this blitzer now holding the ball. Blitzer fling hits ballcarrier for a 2-die opp choice resulting in double dodge-pows and a ball knocked out of bounds. Goats try and pick up the ball but fail. One fling runs for an open corner, my kicker fling scoops the ball and puts up a hail-mary "punt" towards that corner but it scatters 3-times towards the sideline and then bounces out of bounds. Goats get it back but drop a handoff and then the kicker 'fling boots it in a silly attempt to pick it up in 2 tz's. Beastman then fails to pick up the ball and another 'fling runs in, scoops it, dodges away, and then fumbles a short pass heading behind a screen I set up. Chaos stun that 'fling, surround the ball, again fail the pickup and knock the ball to where it sitting inside a single tz. Blitzer 'fling runs up, grabs the ball, dodges towards an open man, rerolls a fumbled pass, and then watches as the half ends with a dropped catch. UGH! Keep using all our luck making the 75% play and failing the 8in9 ones.
2nd half:
'flings receive and the kickoff bounces into the arms of a lineman. Treemen try and tie up the chaos warriors as the 'flings sweep left, back up, and then go right. 'flings leave a block and blitz opportunity and a beastman makes the most of it taking down the ballcarrier on the sideline. Ball ends up at the feet of a tree and an ugly scrum follows. Beastmen finally blitz the ball clear, grab it and throw it to an open chaos warrior. Blitzer 'fling fails a dodge and the warrior scores on the last turn to equalize. 1-1.
Post game:
1 dead fling (killed on a dodge) replaced with the winnings. Need to get our fan factor back up from this low of 7.”
