“The Boomtown Breakers made their first appearence last night in almost half a year. Coach Bellator's dwarves took the field as if not a day had passed.
The game promised to be bloody when Prahr was KOed on the first block. Playing very aggressively, much to the joy of all the fans, Zhentarim fouled, kicked and fought but more often than not found themselves tripping over their own feet or accidently punching themselves.
Coach Skolopender was questioned when he had his star runner dodge 3 times on the sideline and make a mad rush for the endzone on turn 1 of the game. This placed him in perfect bashing position for Gorbax who managed to stun the speedy catcher. The humans never really recovered and simply lost control of the game at this point. The dwarves defended the ball perfectly and Gorbax was able to grab the ball and run down the field nearly uncontested. The humans tried to get to him, but the dwarves defense proved too strong with Gorbax scoring the first TD of his career.
The 2nd half started with a blitz in Coach Skolopender's favor. Unfortunately for the humans, they were unable to break through the dwarves defense and a touch back occured landing the ball in Gorbax's hand again. The humans fought well and stayed on him, but the Bull Centaur proved the stronger and was able to break free scoring on turn 5. The humans didn't even try for the ball at this point and instead went for the pain with some late fouls that landed Mugjug Jones in the infirmary where his wrist was broken. The doctors say he will miss the next game, but should be back soon.
The fans were ecstatic to see one of their favorite teams come out of retirement, and the fan base increased yet again after this 2-0 dwarven win. We look forward to many many more bloody matches from Coach Bellator.
