“A good recovery from a bad start for the Wood Knights.
Thunderoak, after being secretly given some knuckledusters, promptly insisted on showing off how tough he was by punching himself in the head with them instead of blocking his opponent. subsequently he was injured from pretty much the word go.
Thanks to some speedy scoring by Aramii, the Wood Knights were able to keep it together after this show of stupidity (I'm sorry, this is blood bowl... NORMALITY) by one of the key players on the team.
Stormbringer spoke harshly about Thunderoak in the post-game press conference:
"That fledgeling moron needs to wake up and smell the blood. This isn't a game about personal glory, it's a game about beating the other guys. If he want's to play the tough guy, he needs to go join his local wrestling federation. Here, we play with REAL blood, and can't afford things like that."
In an off the record comment, notorious bookie "The Gobbo" Intimated that Thunderoak may have been bought by someone. Admittedly, the Gobbo is reputed to have lost a significant amount on this game, as he expected after that initial loss the Wood Knights to be unable to prevent the Etruscean Enclave from outscoring them.
In other news, Are Blood Bowl Players getting stupider?”
