#9 #69 Jordan Gross – Dead (RIP)
AFK Eagle put up one heck of a fight. First off I want to say, though I personally don't like to foul as a coach, I do see it as a viable option. When I coach teams, I tend to "role-play" the part. That said, my Couronne Panthers are a noble group of Bretonnians, but once a foul has occurred, I will respond in kind.

The Ogre took a shot but the apoth kept him around. We then did the same to the rat Ogre, who was KO'd for the 1st half. Despite the rather muscular rats, I actually was pulling off some good plays, but then the dice would fail me with 1's multiple times. I'd rather lose to being out-coached than by the dice, but such is the nature of this fickle game.

As for casualties of war, it's part of the game. I'm just glad I could put the Ironman tag on my AG5 thrower, but AFK Eagle was very smart in his blocks and blitzes and pulled off an impressive win.

A rematch will be in the calender, you can count on that!

Game didn't start out that well, as even though we got a blitz kickoff our idiot SV, so super-pumped up on steroids for the match he forgot to tie his shoelaces, double-1'd his gfi's. Humans take the ball and score despite our blitz, with our rat ogre staying ko. However, a gang-foul -str SI to his ogre, apo save, made the humans a tad bit more cautious. Didn't stop his ogre from blasting our RO niggle, apo save. Payback's a b***, ain't it? He hadn't done celebrating before our str5 SV (natural str4 +drugs) blasted him down, for a second gang-foul. Ejection, but BH ogre. With even numbers on pitch, but the rats possessing two str5 players and the humans none above str3, it was only a matter of time for us to position and take the lead 2-1.

Then began an extremely unlucky series of turns for the humans. Rolling skulls and 1's for dodges/gfi's left and right. I guess I paid the ball-boy enough b/c it was like he was picking up a greased pig, so many ball pickups did he fail. When he finally did get the ball in the hands of his catcher, my only stripball (no tackle yet) was out of position to stop him...but double-1 failed dodge will do the trick. Score 3-1 rats, increased FF, four skills (both gutters rolling doubles, lino got +ma).

Sorry for the RIP, amigo, but at least that one was from a simple block and not one of the fouls. Not that it'll make you feel any better, but maybe you'll not glare at me quite so badly the next time I offer a match.
