#8 Tahmas Spellweaver – Dead (RIP)
“Its rough up here in Premier ... that's ok though 'cause after todays effort we won't be here very long. A dismal performance by the Stingers made the job of the Ork minded Amazons a darn sight easier.
Don't really know what to say. Whatever we did ... it sucked. The dice just kept coming up against us. 50% luck, whatever they reckon ... sure didn't seem like it. Our blocking rarely put down an Amazon (2 stuns hey Laviak - mate surprised we got even them) while the Stingers found standing up to be a painful experience as we kept getting smacked back down into the dirt again. 2 deaths this match and the numbers are dwindling. We failed a fair number of our dodges and all but one pass was dropped.
Just so that Nuffle could really shove a sharp one up the Stingers (for all you guys who love to hate elf teams and I heard a lot of you today!) we managed only one new skill. The young catcher Manasseh Wardancer aged on his third skill with a double one and niggled. Got 4 niggles now with little light at the end of the long dim tunnel of team re-building.
More Orcs next ... oh joy! The Stingers days are numbered.

Str 4 and all green and muscle. Once she had the ball all she had to do was watch Stingers fall over themselves trying to block her.

Got the TD's that counted and rushed well. Caught the ball (something those Ag4 pointy eared gits need to learn how to do) whenever it came her way.
1pts - Sneaky Ork
Any Ork that has a Str 4 blitzing Elf bounced off her and die deserves a mention if not the full 3 Twahnlows. Thought about giving her more. That blitz pretty much summed up the game really. ”

This is the sort of game that really makes the girls think they're orcs - 2 stuns, and not a single KO or cas! They didn't hurry on the first drive, gradually moving up the pitch, and trying to remove some of those pesky elves from the pitch. Although they didn't do that good a job of it really, the elves played along, and hurt themselves as well. The elves had a couple of chances, but nothing that really got us worried, and there were only 5 elves left on the pitch when we scored in turn 8 (there were 3 KOed and 2 injured).
In the second half, seeing an opportunity to take a 2-0 lead, the girls took down the ball carrier, and made good with a pass up-field to the waiting Neck Krusha, who had no trouble taking the ball in for a touchdown. At this point, we were starting to get a little too sure of ourselves, and the elves managed to get a consolation touchdown - thanks to a fine blitz by Naphtali Wildelf on the ball carrier.
When the elves got a blitz on the last drive, we started to get even more worried, but careful play saw the ball into the hands of Bone Krasha, who showed that she still has what it takes to look after the ball, and gave the ball over to Neck Krusha to stroll in, uncontested for the final touchdown.
Final score 3-1.

The only way we could deal with this pesky side-stepping blitzer in the first half was a good boot to the head, and even that didn't stop him for long. This fellow made three separate attempts to strike the ball carrier, finally rewarded with a pow in the second half, which was immediately followed by the Stingers solitary touchdown.

The other half of the team that made the play to score the touchdown. Also knocked near the end of the first half, but came back in plenty of time for the second half. AG5 elves are always a big threat (especially with MA8/NoS), and we were glad to be able to deal with him most of the time.

Another of those pesky side-stepping blitzers. I hate side step. Throughout the first half, this guy pestered us every step of the way. He kept slipping into the most annoying places, and we struggled to knock him down. Did I mention that I hate side step?

Though it is not really Twahnlow vote worthy, Skirmish deserves a special mention for his suicidal block on Sneaky Ork, resulting in double skulls, killing himself instantly. Fortunately, the apothecary was on the ball, and managed to work a miracle to keep him alive.”
