This was a real seasaw of a game with the ball changing hands a number of times. The Dodgers managed to pull of a nice 2-0 win against the Titans Thralls.
The first TD came after some exceptionally bad play by the Titans Thralls catcher Oloft the mighty. The misstake was quickly leaped on by blitzer Jost Adlehof who scored his first TD of his career.
But that was nothing compared to the 2nd TD... oh man what a beauty! Just as the Thralls players was about to step over the goal line he trips and falls over spilling the ball in the end zone. Lineman Gelt runs back, picks up the ball and throws a monster of a pass to blitzer Diebold who catches it even though he is cought up in the middle of the melee at the LOS.
He turns and breaks off from the middfield brawl, dodging two players and heads for the end zone. He dodges the beats off the defending catcher and scores! Magic!
Add to this that the Dodgers played most of the game with only eight men on the pitch and you get the idea.
Greyhunter was a great sport and I enjoyed playing against him. He was really REALLY unlucky at times. Re-match wouldn't be out of the question.
In all fairness the Titans Thralls should have won this one...
“Just as one player can lead a team to victory, so can one single handly create it. Olaf the Mighty, who from this day forth shall be called "olaf the Drunkard" or "olaf Butterfingers" as the teams only thrower and main ball reciever, managed to fuble the ball on no less than 7 occasions, stalling all of the plays.
the only time he did pick up the ball, he managed to throw adiquatly enough, and another member of the team manged to almost get to the endzone before falling on his face and KO'ing himself.
all in all, a poor peformace by the team in their second match, and don't belief the thing, 58% doesn't go anywhere near covering the fact that almost every important roll failed. and the other team manged to score a touchdown from their own line. which was most impressive.
Olaf will spend the time before the next game tied to the bow of the teams longship. then he will be placed infront of the other teams biggest player.”
