The Crash went into this game with a pretty simple game plan: keep the orcs and the ball in the middle, spoil for a good ball-brawl at every opportunity, and maybe stroll the ball linewards when the numbers inevitably thin.

The plan went well enough for the first half, though not enough of the scrawny scandies were scuppered under Orcish boots for the game to be at all beyond doubt. The only "Blight" on the half being when Inkerman Raglanoff's fine combination of violence, nerve and skill to allowed him to get in and spoil the Crash's offensive play at one point.

Some intelligently crafted Norse play up the Crash's left in the 2nd half saw Patrician and the Blight build a real chance for a score and make winning a very tough ask for the Crash. The tactics were truly excellent, but the execution was not on the money today, and sadly never will be again for Inkerman Raglanoff...featuring in the match report this time for all the wrong reasons.

Twahnlows

3 Votes - Yanovi 'Titan' Frostham
Yanovi was a very capable opponent of the Crash's brawling game, and frequently refused to get thumped let alone stay thumped.

2 Votes - Oldbugmanoff Perfectoss
Flitted around the edge of the brawl always looking to swoop in and cause much wailing and gnashing of Orcish teef. Slipped his markers well, and again stood up to the attention he was never far away from as a good norseman should.

1 Vote - Inkerman Ragloff
Was the key player for the Blight in this match, showing real verve on defense especially. Sadly his poor play on attack cost him top billing on these Twanlow votes, and of course his life...

#1 Fistien Shovisken – Smashed Knee (NI)
#12 Inkerman 'Crimera' Raglanoff – Dead (RIP)
The Blight get done over by a very solid performance by Bacillen. I had intended to try and use the crowd as much as possible, but good placement by Bacillen meant I couldn't achieve this.

I almost had the ball spill turn 3 or so, when I decked the ball carrier, but some cleanup, KOs and such from Bacillen righted things and allowed a score turn 7.

As for me, I tried to equalise, and had to dodge with my Blitzer to try and get to the touchline....and he stuffed it and RIPED himself. The fact that this was my Illegal drugs ST4 Blitzer only worsoned things.

2nd Half, and we set up nicely for a passing game over 4 turns. On the 4th turn, the ball was passed and a double skull used up a RR. However, another double skull meant the ball carrier went down and now we were on the defensive again. A crowd push by Bacillen, and niggle MNG on Fistien, and we had little hope of recovery.

About the only high spot for the Blight is that Rah Rah finally gets some SPP in the form of the MVP, and our FF surprisingly didn't go downwards. Otherwise, BLEH.

Twanlows

#3 - Oncomin Truk - very hard to track, and a key point for the Orks ball movement

#2 - Maori Sidestep-fun - for the SF getting the way of several crowdpush, and for planting himself to push Nikoliev off the field.

#1 - Squirrel Grippa, the main Black Ork problem.
