“Indeed that was a game worth remembering. Even before the matchwas over, the fans of Ulthuan's Finest were cheering wildly, and even more so as Naronnan scored the final goal as the final act of the game.
"We had them from the very beginning!" stated Ythiel, the teams Quarter Back to the press, but his cocky statement was soon overshadowed by the two catchers, both arguing wildly over who is the better catcher.
Naronnan, the lineman joined in, since he has got just as many touchdowns, and soon the meeting with the press was in shambles, accusations being thrown in every direction, even towards Ythiel, for his supposedly lousy and fumbled passes.
Oh well, both the match, and the press meeting shows a team that competes as much with each other as well as with the opposing team. If they can manage to keep it all together, they will for sure beat any team they face. Or, as stated by Meanther, the team's leader in casualties;
"Bring 'em on, and we'll beat 'em to a bloody pulp."
A statement more worthy of an Orc, than of a noble from Ulthuan. The pitch surely tramsforms players into true sportsmen!
OK, but more seriously. It was a closely fought match. Very competitive, but still in a friendly manner. As Mr Foulscumm states, 3-1 doesn't show how close the match was. It was remarkably closer to 2-2. Thanks for the game, and good luck. You played well, and I'd gladly play you again.”
“Wow what a game! This was way closer then the 3-1 score line would suggest. Both sides fought light demented moles as they were trying to dig the ball lose from the tangel of bodies.
This looks like it has the makings for a great rivalry, as Mr Foulscumm told the gathered press after the game: "The Diablos are ready to play anytime and anywhere against those filthy 'igh elves! Next time well beat them by thunder!"
Big words from the coach, but seeing how the Diablos blitzers tripped twice while going for it within scoring distance, the outcome could have been quite different... and it also lends a bit more weight to his predictions.”
