“Two rookie Vampire teams took the field, each one looking forward to glory and victory. Unfortunately Nuffle reared his ugly head turned what promised to be an exciting match-up into a comedy of errors.
Most turns were full of failed ball-pick ups, passes and GFI. Luckily my team had better luck with injury rolls. My team stayed relatively intact while Panic!!! lost player after player to unlucky rolls.
On a happy note Lord Zambar almost hit for a cycle, only missing an Int.
At one point in the second half Panic!!! was reduced to 3 players and no re-rolls while I had 8 players and 4 rerolls. Somehow this seemed to spur Panic!!! on as they almost prevented the second TD.
All in all it was a funny game full of missed rolls and some bad luck. Sarge was good about his terrible rolling on injury rolls and fought to the bitter end. 'There Can Be Only One' is eager for a rematch any time.”
“Tis true, tis true.
Panic's brave and ferocious lads gave it their all, gave it their heart, their sweat, their tears, ohh so many tears, and their consciousness. Panic!!!'s boys must have got their orders mixed up on the field! More of the brave young soilders fell from failed blocks and GFI's then they managed to take down the other team. Steve reports that in the changing rooms Saulot gave a speach about the ideals of taking back the holy land by force did not mean literally biting the ground till it gave up. Malkav had to be tied down after lossing his allready insane mind a second time at the impossibilities of the mens dim wittedness, and General Iced Mayhem tried to write it off as new age tactics to connfuse the enemy.
Steve seems amused by his new friends performance, and is has tallied it down to another idiocity he has witnessed since signing up as the crusading brigands public relations officer. his parting words were.
"If Vampires and their lackeys think they can retake the holy land by masquerading as a Blood Bowl team, who are we to suspect they can even play?! They are as adept Bloodbowlers as they are Cruesaders. Mind you though, those last three lads seemed to go allright under a bit of pressure, and I dont mind having them on my side in a tight situation, I can tell you that. I got to go, I'm off to watch Malkav try to talk Teer into parting with his new squished eye ball. Its a dead set riot!”
