My opponent was fiendishly lucky, and it showed on his confidence. Rerolling POWs to get the second crowd push (and SI), making some strange dodges with a zombie and passing the ball in turn 8 of 2nd half, even though the current carrier could score with no dodges or GFIs.

Even with the SIs and not enough winnings to replace the retired niggler, it felt good to get away from the elfbowl and prove to myself I wasn't afraid of getting elves into a brawl. Gus was a good sportsman all through the game, but I'll probably bring a bashier team for the rematch.”
