Tensai used an aggressive setup when kicking which resulted in a huge scrap on the LoS. I got my ball handlers to go around to score fairly quickly. "Stall? Nah."
On his drive I got beaten up pretty bad. A fistful of KOs and my Guard Zombie niggled (what should I do with him?). I tried a last ditch blitz, but he made the 4+ roll to pick up the ball and score on his last turn.
1-1
Second half looks pretty grim. I'm only on 9 players, and Ban D'Age is still in the KO box. What's a boy to do? Fight for dear life.
The ghouls were the star players here. I managed to make all my dodges with them, so I could use them as safeties, and boy were they needed in that role. They dodged, blocked and blitzed their way past the chaos warriors. Every time, though another warrior would just pick up the ball, clean as you like, given it had been raining all day.
Eventually, it wasn't enough. He blitzed my marker away, and the warrior ran for the line. But no! A slip! And the ball carrier flat on his face in the end zone. The crowd threw the ball around amongst themselves and it landed in the middle of his warriors.
The TD was still on the cards, though it would be difficult with only one turn left, and no RR. The Raiders' marking paid off, and Tensai couldn't get a warrior to field the ball.
That was one heck of a game. I couldn't be prouder of the way the Raiders played with their backs against the wall.
